Message from the Chair

As Chairperson of an exciting and enthusiastic group of retirees I am proud and at the same time humbled to see us progress from a handful of people who had a vision to one hundred and thirty plus people who enjoy being part of this now great organization.

In two and a half years we have achieved regular Friday presentations. These are in response to topics of interest that you, the members, have suggested. Participation averages more than thirty members at each session! Special events have been supported whole heartedly by everyone, especially outings to venues close-by.

Multiple Sessions will be attempted now. Well established programs have been achieved, for example; Walking Groups, Pub Quiz, Writing Classes and Spirituality Discussion Groups.

Our latest venture is the launching of this first newsletter, followed by our own blog and various communication tools to inform everyone of what is happening.

Members of our group are coming forward with their various talents and offering to help. This is what makes us what we are. If each one of us contributes in their own way, with their own uniqueness, we will be envied as the best volunteer group on this planet! To everyone of you, a salute!
